The standard biodata format, section by section
A marriage biodata is a one- or two-page profile that families share before a first meeting. The order below is the one most families are used to reading. Every section is optional, and you can rename, reorder or hide any of them.

Format tips families notice
- Keep it to one A4 page if you can. It reads better on WhatsApp. Our “Fit to one page” option tightens a concise biodata onto one sheet without going below a readable size.
- Use a label : value layout. It’s what parents expect and the easiest to scan.
- Write dates in full (14 March 1997) and height in feet and centimetres.
- Use a clear, recent photo with a plain background. Crop it to the shoulders.
- Mention “Late” before a parent’s name where it applies. Our form adds it for you.
- Proof-read names and phone numbers twice. Our PDF makes the phone number and email tappable.
Choose a format for your community or language
The core format is the same everywhere, but details differ: a Hindu biodata usually includes horoscope details, a Muslim biodata mentions sect and maslak, a Sikh biodata often lists the family gurdwara and a Jain biodata notes Shwetambar or Digambar. Families also like names and headings in Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati.

What is the correct format of a biodata for marriage?+
Start with a blessing, your name and photo, then personal details, education, career, family details, an optional horoscope section, a short ‘about me’, partner preferences and contact details. Keep it to one or two A4 pages.
Should a marriage biodata be one page or two?+
One page is ideal for sharing on WhatsApp. Two pages are fine when you have a large family section or several degrees. Our pages never cut through text, and ‘Fit to one page’ tightens a concise biodata onto a single sheet.
Can I download the biodata format as a PDF?+
Yes. Fill in the format online and download a print-ready A4 PDF at 300 DPI, a lighter one for WhatsApp, or a JPEG image of each page that shows inline in a chat.
