What a Hindu biodata usually includes

  • A sacred symbol (Ganesha, Om, Swastik, Kalash, Diya or Lotus) above a blessing such as ॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥ or “Jai Shree Krishna”.
  • Caste or community, sub-caste and native place.
  • Horoscope details: time and place of birth, rashi, nakshatra, gotra, manglik, gan and nadi.
  • Kuldevi or kuldevta, which you can add as a custom field.
  • Family details, with “Late” before a parent’s name where needed.

Horoscope (kundli) details

The horoscope section is hidden until you turn it on, so families who don’t use it never see an empty block. It has birth time and place, rashi, nakshatra, gotra, manglik (including Anshik), gan and nadi.

In your language

Write your name, blessing and headings in Hindi, Marathi or Gujarati. See also the full marriage biodata format.
